Animal SOS – February 2022

A sanctuary for the helpless furry critters; Animal SOS provides a safe haven for dogs that have been found neglected on the streets. The charity was founded by Kim Cooling with the intention of providing high quality veterinary care and rehabilitation to stabilize the population of stray dogs through neutering and to eradicate rabies. Thus, creating a safe environment for both humans and animals. The sanctuary currently houses an approximate of 2000 dogs and 300 cats.

CL Synergy kicked off the year with a promise to support 12 selected charities; one in each month of the year as depicted in its calendar for 2022. The CLS team actively held bake sales and movie evenings in office to get everyone to contribute.

Dry rations and a cash donation was made at the premises in Ahangama on 12th of March, 2022. 

The plight of stray animals in Sri Lanka leaves much to be desired, therefore, having a centre such as Animal SOS is not only an example of boundless kindness but it is also a demonstration of how organized approaches can help alleviate issues.
